Stream music throughout your home with Home Assistant
Step 1: Using Spotify to Stream
Open Spotify. Don't have Spotify? Get it here
Find the streaming icon. Best found in the Now Playing View in the bottom left.
Step 2: Select Your Audio Zone
When you click that you will be displayed with something along these lines.
If you just want a single localized zone, click the associated room and you're Done! ENJOY
If you want multiple speakers throughout the home click Airplay & Bluetooth and proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Speaker Grouping
From there you will be displayed with something like this displaying speakers and tvs of the house.
We want to focus on audio devices with a speaker icon. Selecting a tv will work just not the way we want it to.
If you have selected all your speakers and they have loaded, adjust volumes to your liking and use your phones volume as the master.
Step 5: Room Audio Controls
In each room if audio is playing it will show a volume slider below the card.
Slide the lighter grey box left to right to turn up the audio control. Take note left is 0 and right is 100
